Attorney Jeffrey Davis of Spencer, WV; slacker, serial offender

The state of West Virginia presented Jeffrey A. Davis with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from the University of West Virginia School of Law.

The Lawyer Disciplinary Board found Jeff guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

FYI: As one would suspect this isn’t Jeff’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received six (6) admonishments and one 30-day suspension of his law license for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

Jeff’s 7^th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Jeff was hired by a Mr. Rucker who was indicted in Clay County on multiple counts stemming from an incident where he was found to be manufacturing a controlled substance and was engaged in wanton endangerment with a firearm and destructive, explosive, or incendiary devices
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with his client
• Failed in his duties that he owed to his client and the legal profession
• Failed to apprise his client of the status of a matter
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Jeff!)
• Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
• Victim of misconduct was vulnerable

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the West Virginia Supreme Court punished Jeff by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license. Additionally, Jeff was ordered to refund $3,000.00 to his client for fees he collected but did not earn.

As we speak (ca. April 2022), Jeff practices his so-called brand at 225 Main Street in Spencer, West Virginia.
