Attorney John Williams of Alexandria, VA; cheating slacker

The state of Virginia presented John Edward Williams with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the University of Richmond School of Law.

The Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board found Johnny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Charged and/or attempted to collect an unreasonable fee (cheater)
• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Failed to explain a matter to extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Virginia Bar Disciplinary Board punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
