Attorney Wilfred Clelland of Chattanooga, TN; ethical troll

The state of Tennessee unfortunately presented Wilfred Shawn Clelland with a law license in 1986 after she graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Law.

The Board of Professional Responsibility found Willy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Performed little, if any, work in negotiating medical liens for more than three years on client’s behalf
• Failed to provide updates of matter to his client
• Provided false or misleading statements to his client
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
• Settled client’s personal injury claim and received settlement funds, but the proceeds were subject to outstanding medical bills and/or liens

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Willy by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. January 2022), Willy practices his so-called brand of law at 736 Georgia Avenue in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
