Attorney William Gosnell of Memphis; serial offender

 

The state of Tennessee provided William G. Gosnell with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from the University of Memphis Law School.

 

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Billy guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Billy’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Made false statement and recommendation of employment through another

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

 

Billy’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of case
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Billy!)
  • Failed to cooperate in discovery matters
  • Conduct caused delay in court scheduling
  • Misconduct led to court dismissing client’s case

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with his second complimentary censure.

 

Billy’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Dismissed client’s lawsuit without client’s knowledge
  • Moved office without advising client of new address
  • Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to communicate with client

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with his third complimentary censure.

 

As we speak (ca. August 2015) Billy practices at 44 North Second Street in Memphis, Tennessee.
