Attorney Clay Ijams of Tulsa, OK; drunken convict

The state of Oklahoma provided Clay D. Ijams with a law license in 2005 after he graduated from Oklahoma City University School of Law.

The Oklahoma Bar Association found Clay guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Clay drove to the home of his former spouse, let himself into the home and began talking about his sadness over their divorce
  • An argument ensued causing injury to the former spouse’s leg
  • Neighbors called the police about the loud voices and Clay fled on foot when police cars began arriving in the neighborhood
  • Clay later returned and drove away, followed by the Tulsa Police Department
  • Clay refused to pull his vehicle over when requested and led the police on a high-speed chase
  • The officers used spike strips to slow the Clay's vehicle
  • Clay left his vehicle and began to run from the police
  • Clay was apprehended by and resisted a canine police officer
  • Clay pled guilty to Eluding a Police Officer
  • Pled guilty to Driving Under the Influence (DUI)
  • Pled guilty to Operating a Vehicle with Defective Equipment or Unsafe Condition
  • Sentenced to spend 7 weekends in the Tulsa County Jail

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oklahoma Supreme Court punished Clay by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license and assessed investigative costs of $727.55.

As we speak (ca. September 2023), Clay practices his so-called brand of law at 1331 South Denver Avenue in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
