Attorney Thomas Collins III of Honolulu; repeat offender, liar

The state of Hawaii presented Thomas D. Collins III with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from the New York Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to appear at hearing on client’s behalf
  • Misconduct involves multiple violations
  • Failed to timely file motion on behalf of client
  • Made material misrepresentation (lied) to client
  • Failed for over one-year to file paternity petition
  • Altered date on court document
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Made false representations (lied) to family court judge

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Tommy’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He was previously received two (2) complimentary reprimands for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on Disciplinary Counsel punished Robby by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license, meaning his license will be reinstated in January 2017.

As we speak (ca. June 2016), Tommy will be practicing at 225 Queen Street in Honolulu, Hawaii when his license is reinstated.
