Attorney Edward Conter of Phoenix; ethical dwarf

The state of Arizona presented Edward N. Conter with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from St. Mary’s University Law School.

The Arizona State Bar found Ed guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

1. Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
2. Willfully violated bankruptcy automatic stay provisions
3. Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
4. Failed to follow proper procedures re: bankruptcy estate property
5. Pursued claims he knew or should have known were frivolous

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Ed by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. March 2014) Ed is employed by the Maricopa Public Defender’s Office at 620 West Jackson Street in Phoenix, Arizona.
