Attorney L. Britton Eadie of Fairbanks, AK; lying scammer

The State of Oregon presented Kurt Black with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from Williamette University School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Britton guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Knowingly making a false statement of law or fact
  • Stated or alluded to a matter that would not be supported by admissible evidence)
  • intentionally or habitually violating an established rule of procedure or evidence
  • Trial court found that Eadie's failure to disclose to the adverse party his intent to obtain a judgment for costs when he settled a case, and thereafter, was a failure to correct a false impression created by non-disclosure of a material fact
  • Caused a judge to sign an order by knowingly misrepresenting to the judge that the form of order accurately reflected the judge's prior ruling regarding rescheduling a case
  • Failed to acknowledge the wrongful nature of any of his misconduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Britton by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2022), Britton practices his brand of law in Fairbanks, Alaska.
