Attorney Jody Sutherland of Anchorage; ethical gnome

The state of Alaska presented Jody W. Sutherland with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from Baylor University School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Jody guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in a pattern of gross neglect in management of client funds
• Mismanagement led to underfunding of client trust account
• Failed to properly supervise office staff
• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Failed to deliver and account for client money

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Alaska Supreme Court punished Bruce by gifting him with a complimentary 18-month suspension of his law license. 

As we speak (ca. September 2019), Bruce practices at 500 Adams Street in Seward, Alaska.
