Attorney James Briggs of Reno; ethical leprechaun

The state of Nevada presented James A. Briggs with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from the University of Pacific McGeorge Law School in Sacramento.

The Nevada Disciplinary Board found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Jimmy!)
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in illegal practice of law while license suspended

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Jimmy.

As we speak (ca. March 2016), Jimmy practices with Washoe Legal Services at 299 South Arlington Avenue in Reno, Nevada.
