The state of Tennessee provided William Earl Friedman with a law license in 1955 after he graduated from the University of Tennessee Law School. 

 

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Billy guilty of the following misconduct.

Billy’s 1stbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree 

 

In one matter, Billy was found negligent and guilty of gross procrastination in his so-called handing of a client's case.

 

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with yet another complimentary censure.

 

Billy’s 2ndbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree 

  • Negligent in the handling of two separate client matters

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with yet another complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

Billy’s 3rdbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree 

  • Neglected legal matters entrusted to him
  • Failed to communicate with his clients
  • Allowed two client matters to remain open for several years

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with yet another complimentary censure.

Billy’s 4thbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree 

  • Did nothing on client’s slip and fall case for nearly three years
  • Allowed defendant to take over two years to answer client’s lawsuit
  • Failed to discuss with client that there was insufficient proof to support her claim
  • Failed to inform client he had voluntarily dismissed her case due to his failure to prosecute her claims
  • Re-filed client’s slip and fall lawsuit with obtaining any addition evidence

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with yet another complimentary 11-month suspension of his law license

Billy’s 5thbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree 

  • Neglected two clients’ personal injury cases
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep clients informed as to status of their cases

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with yet another complimentary censure.

 

As we speak (ca. March 2015), Billy practices at 44 North Second Street in Memphis, Tennessee.
