The state of Mississippi presented Joseph Sams with a law license in 1990.

The Mississippi State Bar Association found Joey guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to inform client of creditors meeting in bankruptcy case
• Failed to advise client bankruptcy petition dismissed because she failed to show up at creditors meeting
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Joey!)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Mississippi Supreme Court punished Joey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2015), Joey practices at 105 Fifth Street North in Columbus, Mississippi.
