Attorney Emmanuel Akpan of Silver Spring, MD; ethical misfit

The state of Maryland presented Emmanuel Damascus Akpan with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from the University of Baltimore Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Emmanuel guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to keep his client (victim) reasonably informed about status of legal matter
• Engaged in a conflict of interest

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme Court punished Emmanuel by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2015) Emmanuel practices with the Law Office of Emmanuel D. Akpan at 8630 Fenton Street in Silver Spring, Maryland.
