State Rep. John Bennett (R-OK): Today’s “Bigot” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

State Rep. John Bennett (R-OK)

Today’s “Bigot” Award Winner

In 2010, Johnny succeeded in duping the voters in the Sequoyah County area of Oklahoma into electing him as a member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives.

During a recent (October 2014) appearance at a town hall in Muskogee, Johnny decided to once again defame Muslim Americans. Johnny argued that there was no difference between radical Islamists [ISIS] and everyday Muslims and that every one of them was programmed by their faith to attack and destroy Christianity. Johnny went on to say:

  • “Mohammed’s teaching only teaches one thing.”
  • “And that’s the violence that we’re seeing today in ISIS and in the beheading in Moore and other places.” (David Ferguson, Raw Story)

Johnny the Bigot went on to compare Muslims with Nazis by saying in part:

  • Do you think every German was a Nazi?”
  • “No, they weren’t. But what happened with the Nazis was that once they got in power, all those Germans that sat quiet or were scared to say anything had no choice but to follow and support what they were doing.”
  • “If they [Muslims] subscribe to Islam and what it teaches and if they’re not standing up and condemning what Islam teaches, then they’re just going right along with them, just like the Germans did when the Nazis were around.”

Of course every one with an I.Q. approaching triple digits well knows that all Muslims aren’t radical supporters of terrorists such as ISIS. Furthermore, to suggest that the Koran teaches Muslims to engage in terrorism is patently false.

Johnny’s sole purpose for playing the bigot card is to drum up support for his reelection in November 2014 and more importantly to wrangle some cash contributions from his fellow bigots.

Congrats Johnny; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Bigots”; you are far too humble.
