Sen. John Carona (R-TX): 2010 Secretariat (Triple Threat) Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Texas State Sen. John Carona!!
2010 “Secretariat” (Triple Threat) Award Winner

Texas State Senator John Carona hails from the Dallas area that has spent the last 21 years (ca. 1990-2010) porking out at the public trough.

It is noteworthy that this illustrious award is limited to Legislative Division candidates, as opposed to the Judicial Division, for equity across the population of Texas “porkers.”

The WatchDawg is proud to announce that Texas State Senator John Carona is the winner of this prestigious award, despite keen competition among like-minded colleagues, all of whom have exhibited appetites just as impressive.

From January 2000 to June 2010, Eddie must be commended for his proven skill at dipping into his campaign funds to pay for the following “expenses”:
  • $995,198 – Donations/Contributions and Gifts
  • $110,440 – Meals
  • $325,755 – Lodging/Airfare/BMW lease costs/Car rentals/Lodging costs
  • $1,431,393 = $143,139 = yearly average
The median household income in the Dallas area is $40,147, meaning that Johnny found it acceptable to spend almost three times as much each year to satisfy his glutinous appetite. The amounts above do not include the $25,907.16 the State paid to Johnny baby in mileage to fly his private jet around Texas (ca. Dec 2007 – April 2010).

Johnny surely is a thoroughbred in the true sense of the word, right? Move over Secretariat, there’s a new triple threat in town!!!
