Shortly after Stevie’s racist comments, Judge Kocurek ordered a new jury to be seated after ruling that Stevie had removed the woman solely because of her race. Travis County DA Rosemary Lehmberg said she fired Stevie because she was offended by his remarks. She then gave Stevie the boot and told him that “his statements did not reflect my opinions or my values or those of our organization, and that he could no longer work at the Travis County District Attorney’s office.
