Attorney Beverly Howard of Montgomery, AL; ethical leprechaun
The state of Alabama presented Janice Beverly Jean Howard with a law license in 1991 after she graduated from Jones Law School.
The Alabama State Bar Association found Beverly guilty of the following misconduct.
-
Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
-
Failed to keep client informed about status of legal matter
-
Failed to explain matter to extent necessary to allow client to make informed decisions regarding representation
-
Failed to safeguard client property
-
Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
As a consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court punished Beverly by gifting her with a complimentary 90-day suspension of her law license.
As we speak (ca. June 2014), Beverly practices in the Montgomery, Alabama area.
