Attorney Stephen Weiss of Tarzana, CA; ethical misfit

The state of California provided Stephen Weiss with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from the University of West Los Angeles Law School, which is a fourth tier school dedicated to serving losers that couldn’t gain acceptance at mainstream schools like UCLA, USC or Pepperdine.

The California State Bar Court found Stephen guilty of the following misconduct.

  1. Failed to respond to client inquires
  2. Failed to respond to ethics investigators (Up Yours, said Stephen!)
  3. Failed to provide client with account of advance fee
  4. Failed to appear at hearing on client’s behalf
  5. Failed to advise client that due to his gross negligence, client’s case was dismissed

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Stephen’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary reproval and also a complimentary term of probation for engaing in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California State Bar Court punished Stephen by gifting her with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2014), Stephen practices at 6224 Tampa Avenue in Tarzana, California, which is in the Los Angeles area.
