Attorney Curtis Cannon of Las Vegas; convicted loser

The state of Nevada presented Curtis W. Cannon with a law license in 2007 after he graduated from Brigham Young University Law School.

The Disciplinary Commission found Curtis guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Curtis was arrested for having sex with his incarcerated client. When arrested, Curtis told detectives that he hadn’t had sex with his wife in 14 years and his client wanted to marry him once she was released from the joint.

At the time of his arrest, Curtis was 58 and his incarcerated girlfriend Crystal Walls was 23. The Las Vegas police used an undercover camera to expose the illicit relationship.

The tape showed that the meeting between Curtis and his paramour lasted 26 minutes. When confronted by the cops, Curtis initially denied that Crystal had given him oral sex but he eventually admitted it was true.

Crystal was in jail facing drug charges and a charge of attempted possession of a stolen vehicle.

Subsequently, Curtis agreed to plead guilty to a felony charge of engaging in a sexual act with a jailed client. Curtis was later sentenced to a term of probation.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Curtis by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2014), Curtis practices with Cannon & Tannery at 300 East Charleston Blvd in Las Vegas, Nevada.
