Attorney Bounthani Vongxay of Charlotte; ethical dwarf

The state of North Carolina presented Allen W. Rogers with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from Wake Forest University Law School.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Bounthani guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  2. Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  3. Falsely represented disbursement funds in a HUD-1 settlement statement
  4. Inflated Title Charge fees on HUD-1 settlement statement
  5. Made false representations to lender
  6. Failed to maintain bank receipts or deposit slips of funds deposited in trust account
  7. Failed to name client to whom funds belonged to in trust account
  8. Failed to reconcile real estate and personal injury trust accounts quarterly
  9. Failed to maintain sufficient funds in real estate and personal injury trust accounts
As a consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Bounthani by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2013) Bounthani practices with the Vongxay Law Firm, PLLC at 1616 Cleveland Avenue in Charlotte, North Carolina.
