Attorney Bruce Bogart of Cleveland; drunken loser

The state of Ohio presented Bruce Paul Bogart with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from Case Western University Law School in Cleveland.

The Cuyahoga County Bar Association found Bruce guilty of the following misconduct

On several occasions, Bruce found it acceptable to appear in the Bedford Municipal Court after consuming an inordinate amount of alcohol.

Bruce’s drunken state impaired his ability to properly represent his clients. Judge Peter Junkin questioned Bruce about the odor of alcohol on his person, and when Bruce refused to take a breathalyzer test, Judge Junkin refused to allow him to proceed in the matter.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Bruce by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 18-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Bruce.

As we speak (ca. October 2013), Bruce practices at 2101 Richmond Road in Cleveland, Ohio.
