Attorney D. Michael Burke of Martinsburg, WV; ethical misfit

The state of West Virginia presented D. Michael Burke with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from the University of West Virginia Law School.

The Lawyer Disciplinary Board found Burke guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence in pursuing clients claims
  • Faield to keep client informed of status of legal matter

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the West Virginia Supreme Court punished Burke by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. September 2013) Burke practices with Burke, Schultz, Harman & Jenkinson in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
