Attorney Leighton Berry, Jr. of Atlanta; repeat offender

The state of Georgia presented Leighton Reid Berry, Jr. with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from Mercer University Law School.

The Georgia State Bar found Leighton guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Leighton was hired to represent a client in a criminal case in regards to the client entering a plea. Despite the client’s requests, Leighton failed to provide him with a copy of his file until after he was served with a Notice of Investigation by the State Bar.

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Leighton’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary reprimand for enaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Georgia Supreme Court punished Leighton by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. August 2013), Leighton practices with Change Makers, LLC at 3021 Washington Road in Atlanta, Georgia.
