Attorney Cathy Adams of Kaufman, TX; ethical elf

The state of Texas presented Cathy Jean Adams with a law license in 1995 after she graduated from Texas Wesleyan University Law School.

The 10th District Court of Galveston found Cathy guilty of the following misconduct in regards to her representation of a client (victim) in a child support case and divorce action.
  1. Neglected a legal matter entrusted to her
  2. Failed to keep client informed about status of pending legal case
  3. Failed to respond to client requests for information
  4. Refused to surrender client papers to client upon being fired
  5. Failed to refund unearned advance fee (crook)
The Supreme Court subsequently ordered Cathy to pay 500 in restitution to her former client (victim).

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Cathy by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2013) Cathy practices at 704 South Houston in Kaufman, Texas.
