Attorney John Coppola of McLean, VA; lying loser 
Unfortunately, the states of Maryland and Virginia presented John Michael Coppola with a law license.
The Maryland Supreme Court disbarred John for engaging in the following misconduct.
John was hired to prepare estate planning paperwork for a client who put off signing the papers. By the time that Johnny was called to his client’s hospital bedside, she was no longer competent to sign the documents.
Family members of John’s bedridden client appreciated the savings that would come from the trust plan prepared by Johnny. They then begged Johnny to let them forge their mother’s signature on the documents. Com
Because Johnny was also licensed in Virginia, he faced reciprocal discipline after being disbarred by the state of Maryland as a result of the aforementioned misconduct.
The Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board punished Johnny by gifting him with a 30-month suspension of his law license. Even though The Maryland Supreme Court determined that Johnny’s egregious misconduct warranted disbarment, the comedians on the Virginia Disciplinary Board decided it wasn’t all that terrible.
This is just another fine example of why most Virginians have total contempt for the manner in which Attorney Misfits are disciplined.
