Attorney Randall Whately of Plymouth, MI; convicted druggie, repeater

The state of Michigan provided Randall P. Whately with a law license in 1980.

A disciplinary hearing panel found Randall guilty of the following misconduct.

Randall’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

Randall pleaded no contest (guilty in effect) t o possession of cocaine.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Randall by gifting him with a complimentary two-year period of probation.

Randall found it acceptable to prepare an instrument giving him or a person related to him as parent, child, sibling or spouse a substantial gift from a client, including a testamentary gift. Randall also stipulated that he improperly notarized a legal document.

Because Attorney Misfits in Michigan are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Randall’s notary seal was not voided.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Randall by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. February 2013) Randall practices as the managing partner of Randall P. Whately PLLC at 44327 Plymouth Oaks Blvd in Plymouth, Michigan, which is about 30 miles west of Detroit.
