Judge Rao Abdul Jabbar Khan of Pakistan; unethical Dufus

Judge Khan sits as a district and sessions Judge in Gujaranwala, Pakistan.

The Lahore High Court administration ruled that Judge Khan lacked the integrity or competence to preside over criminal cases. The opinion was based on facts while an appellate court reviewed Khan’s cases.

Judge Khan convicted eight (8) people in a case filed by the Mustafabad police station based exclusively on the opinion of the investigative office despite the fact that the legal heirs of the deceased had made statements in favor of the accused during the trial. In addition, material witnesses at the trial did not support the prosecution’s case.

Had Judge Khan engaged in the same type of incompetent behavior as a trial court judge in Florida or Ohio, he likely would have been promoted to a higher court. Put simply, judicial incompetence is not frowned upon in most U.S. courts.

As we speak (ca. January 2013) Judge Khan continues to sit as a district and sessions judge in Gujaranwala, Pakistan, which is located in Punjab Province.
