Attorney John Takacs of Haddonfield, NJ; convicted felon

The state of Pennsylvania presented John George Takacs a law license in 1985.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found John guilty of the following misconduct.

John was found guilty of mail fraud. John participated in a scheme to submit false and fraudulent medical reports and bills to various insurance companies.

Subsequently, John was sentenced to three years of probation with home detention for three months, 500 hours o community services and a fine of $7,500.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished John by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license.

During his suspension in Pennsylvania, John’s application for reinstatement of his law license was granted by the comedians sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court.

The comedians sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court followed the lead of their fellow comics sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court when they voted to reinstate John’s license shortly after his three year suspension ended.

As we speak (ca. December 2012) John practices at 89 North Haddon Avenue in Haddonfield, New Jersey, which is about 10 miles east of Philadelphia.
