Attorney Brian Keith of North Las Vegas; thief

The state of Arizona presented Brian M. Keith with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from Willamette University Law School.

The Arizona State Bar found Brian guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

Brian’s misconduct involved sanctions imposed against him by the California State Bar Court. Brian represented an insurance company in a subrogation lawsuit. Brain received two settlement checks totaling $69,542, of which he was entitled to one-third for his fees. The remaining $46,361 was due to his client.

Brian did not deposit the checks into his trust account and allowed his balance to fall below the level he should have retained in his account to pay his client.

Brian failed to respond to his client’s request for the funds for nearly nine (9) months when he sent the client two checks, one of which, in the amount of $21,667.67, was dishonored (rubber). It was not until another eight (8) months had passed before Brian paid the client the money he was lawfully owed.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Brian by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2013) Brian practices at 5327 Crestpoint Watch Court in North Las Vegas, Nevada.

Warning: Brian doesn’t carry legal malpractice insurance
