Attorney Robert M. Ball of Beverly Hills, CA; repeat offender

The state of California provided Robert Michael Ball with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) Law School.

The California Bar Court found Robert guilty of misconduct on several occasions.

Robert’s 1st Bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  1. Failed to provide competent legal services (moron)
  2. Failed to appear at two court scheduled conferences on client’s behalf
  3. Failed to respond to repeated calls from client
  4. Lied to client that he would confer with her
  5. Failed to respond to clients repeated inquires re: status of legal matter
  6. Failed to cooperate with Bar investigation (Up Yours, said Bob!)
  7. As a consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished Robert by gifting him with a stayed 60-day suspension of his law license. In truth, Robert didn’t receive any meaningful punishment from the comedians on the Bar Court.
The morons (my apologies to morons) sitting on the Bar Court had the chutzpah to give Bobby credit in mitigation of his misconduct because he said many of his cases have received wide press attention. How in the hell does that mitigate his misconduct?

Robert’s 2nd Bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

Bobby admitted to twenty-two (22) counts of misconduct involving seven (7) clients, some of which is as follows.
  1. Failed to provide competent legal services (Dufus)
  2. Failed to return unearned fees (cheater)
  3. Sanctioned $1,200 by federal court for frivolous conduct
  4. Failed to report $1,200 sanction to Bar Court as required
In one case, a client’ case was dismissed because Bobby the Dumbo failed to pay the required court filing fee. The client subsequently learned of the dismissal from the court and asked Bobby to return her $10,000 advance fee. Bobby agreed to return $9,500 if she agreed to release him from liability for his gross negligence.

Bobby asked another client who fired him and sought return of the $10,000 advance fee to release him for any liability for his negligence in exchange for the refund of unearned fees.

In yet another case, the client’s lawsuit was dismissed because Bobby the Moron failed to file a proof of service of the complaint on the defendant.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished Robert by gifting him with a stayed 7-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2012) Robert practices with the Law Offices of Robert M. Ball at 8200 Wilshire Blvd. in Beverly Hills, California.
