Attorney David Svec of Westchester, IL; ethical misfit

The state of Illinois provided David Milton Svec with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from Chicago-Kent School of Law.

The Disciplinary Commission found Dave guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Dave engaged in a conflict of interest when he drafted a trust amendment for a client wherein Dave’s wife was to receive ten percent (10%) of the residuary (remainder) of the client’s estate.

The gift that Dave incorporated into the trust amendment would have gifted his wife with approximately $128,000.

The commission ruled that as the attorney for John and Stefania, Dave owed them a fiduciary duty to exercise at all times the highest degree of honestly, loyalty, and good faith.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Dave by gifting him with a complimentary censure

As we speak (ca. July 2012) Dave practices with Milton A. Svec & Associates at 10526 West Cermak Road in Westchester, Illinois which is a suburb of Chicago.

WARNING: Dave does not carry legal malpractice insurance!
