Judge Kirsten Nielsen of Troy, MI; lying slacker

Unfortunately, the State of Michigan provided Kirsten Nielsen Hartig with a law license in 1991 after she graduated from the Uiversity School of Law.
The MIchigan Judicial Tenure Commission found Kirsten guilt of engaging in the following misconduct

Lied about a fellow Judge by falsely claiming he was incompetent
-
Conduct exposed the judiciary to contempt
-
Failed avoid all impropriety and appearance of impropriety
-
Failed to promote public confidence in the integrity of the judiciary
-
Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
-
Engaged in conduct adversely on her honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer
-
Has repeatedly attempted to assert control over departments and employees over whom she has no authority
-
Repeatedly obstructed the administration of her court despite efforts by chief judges and court administrators to prevent her from doing so
-
Throughout her judicial tenure, respondent she has repeatedly treated court employees, court administrators, chief judges and others discourteously
-
Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
-
Failed to maintain professional competence in the law (ignoramus)
-
Failed to be patient, dignified, and courteous to [those] with whom the judge deals in an official capacity
-
Failed to treat every person fairly, with courtesy and respect
-
Kirsten lacked the authority to dismiss a matter with prejudice
-
Failed to be faithful to the law (scofflaw)
-
Failed to avoid a controversial manner or tone when dealing with litigants and others appearing before her
All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Kirsten by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the MIchigan Supreme Court.
As we speak (ca. June 2026), Kirsten continues to dispense her so-called brand of jurisprudence as a 4th Division, 52nd District Court judge in Troy, Michigan. |
