Attorney Lisa Montgomery of Lawrence, KS; ethical dwarf

The state of Kansas presented Lisa Dawn Montgomery with a law license in 1980 after she graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law.

The Commission on Judicial Qualifications found Lisa guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which related to her candidacy for a judgeship in the 14^th Judicial District.

• Knowingly, or with reckless disregard for the truth, made a false or misleading statement
• Failed to be fair and accurate in all of her statements and those of her campaign committee
• Falsely alleged that her opponent Judge Gettler had created a hostile work environment

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kansas Supreme Court punished Lisa by gifting her with a laughable cease and desist order.

As we speak (ca. March 2025), Lisa is employed as the Douglas County District Attorney in Lawrence, Kansas.
