Attorney Chara Allen of Bozeman, MT; ethical gremlin

The state of Nevada provided Chara L. Allen with a law license in 2000 after she graduated from Brigham Young University School of Law.

The Nevada Disciplinary Board found Chara guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to deposit $3,000 retainer in her office trust account
  • Advised her client that efforts were being made to locate and serve the child’s father in spite of the fact you had been unable to communicate with the process service
  • Failed to promptly refund unearned fees when they were requested by her client
  • Client was harmed as a direct consequence of Chara’s lack of diligence
  • Failed to safeguard client retainer funds because the client was deprived of prompt resolution of a child custody conflict and was forced to retain alternate counsel eight months after your retention, all without the benefit of the funds provided to you to obtain legal services

As direct a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court punished Chara by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2024), Chara practices her so-called brand of law with the Law Offices of Chara L. Allen in Bozeman, Montana.
