Attorney Melissa Baker of Brentwood, TN; ignoramus

The state of TennesseeprovidedMelissa Ann Baker with a law license in 2017 after she graduated from Belmont University School of Law.

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility Melissa guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to communicate with her client
• Failed to provide competent representation (ignoramus)
• Failed to act with candor toward the tribunal
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to respect the rights of third persons
• Pursued unmeritorious claims and contentions
• Improperly communicated with a person represented by counsel
• Failed expedite client litigation
• Failed to act fairly to opposing counsel and party
• Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowinglyassisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Melissa by gifting her with a complimentary censure. 

As we speak (ca. August 2024), Melissa practices her so-called brand of law in Brentwood, Tennessee.
