Attorney Jim Hall of Metairie, LA; ethical goblin

The state of Louisiana presented Jim Hall with a law license in 2017 after he graduated from Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Law.

The Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board found Jimmy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Made false statements in a lawsuit involving his law firm’s dealings with TFX Web Net, LLC
• Failed to comply with advertising regulations set by the Louisiana State Bar Association
• Aired a television advertisement without filing it with the LSBA
• Failed to include required disclaimers in his advertisements
• Used a spokesperson without the appropriate endorsement disclosures
• Made false statement of fact or law to a tribunal
• Offered evidence that Jimmy knew to be false
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 4-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Jimmy.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Jimmy fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.jimshall.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients so that he would not limit his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. May 2024), Jimmy practices his so-called brand of law with Jim Hall & Associates at 800 North Causeway Blvd in Metairie, Louisiana.
