Attorney Romeo Perez of Las Vegas, NV; rubber check afficianado

The state of Nevada presented Romeo R. Perez with a law license in 2003 after he graduated from  Texas Southern University School of Law.

FYI: Texas Southern is ranked as the 181st best law school in the country out of 200 ABA (American Bar Association) accredited law schools.

The Nevada Disciplinary Board found Romeo guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Wrote check for $5,794.00 on insufficient funds account (rubber)
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to maintain accounting ledger for sums involving his client’s case
  • Failed to maintain complete records of client trust accounts for five years
  • Failed to promptly disburse funds owning to a client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court punished Romeo by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed $1,500 in investigate costs.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Romeo fails to mention the above misconduct on his self-serving website at www.romeoperezlaw.com. Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. March 2024), Romeo practices his so-called brand of law with The Law Office of Romeo R. Perez PC at 1621 East Flamingo Road in Las Vegas, Nevada.
