Former Philippine Judge Peter Montojo; slacker

The Philippine Supreme Court provided Peter M. Montojo with a law license in 1963 after he graduated from the University of the Philippines School of Law.

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines found Pete guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed in acting on pending cases clearly demonstrated his inefficiency
  • Failed to control the proceedings or course of the cases
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to impose deadlines in submission of documents or performance of acts incident to the disposition of cases
  • Failed to resolve pending incidents on time
  • Failed to take appropriate action on incidents arising in the course of proceedings

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Republic of the Philippines Supreme Court punished Pete by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2024), Damaso practices his so-called brand of law in Ramblon, Philippines.
