Judge Joyann Pratt of the Bahamas; bullying loser

The state of Law Society of the Bahamas presented Joyann Ferguson Pratt with a law license in 1998 after she graduated from Morgan State University School of Law.

FYI: Joy has had her significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past twenty-five (25) years. Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the Bahamas was about to offer Joy a good paying job.

Bahamas Bar Association President Khalil Parker has alleged that Joy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Berated attorney Christina Galanos with personal attacks in court
  • Joy’s comments to Ms. Galanos brought her to tears
  • The chief justice helped arrange a truce in which Joy would transfer Galanos’ cases to other judges
  • Joy reneged on the deal when she decided to hear the case of an American, Cary Chappell
  • Court documents show that Chappell, citing the encounter between the chief magistrate and Galanos, successfully moved the Supreme Court to transfer his case to another judge
  • Failed to treat those appearing before her with dignity and respect

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Joy by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Bahamas Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. January 2024), Joy continues to dispense her so-called idea of jurisprudence as Chief Magistrate Judge in Nassau, Bahamas.
