Attorney Salvatore Alfieri of Matawan, New Jersey; ethical gremlin

The state of New Jersey provided Salvatore Alfieri with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from the Brooklyn School of Law. Sal also received a license to practice law in New York in 1984.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Sal guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
  • Engaged in an egregious conflict of interest
  • There was a significant risk, at some point, that Sal’s future representation of the client would be materially limited by his personal interest in the client’s wife

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Sal by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2024), Sal practices his so-called brand of law in Matawan, New Jersey.
