Attorney Michael Amantia of Trenton, NJ; slacker, loser

The state of New Jersey provided Michael A. Amantia with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from Pace University School of Law.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Mikey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to meet numerous discovery deadlines
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with client in a real estate matter
  • Failed to assert a breach of contract claim on behalf of his client
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Allowed client breach of contract claim to drift out of control, resulting in its dismissal with prejudice (meaning client prohibited from ever pursuing the claim again)
  • Was untruthful in statements to others
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

As we speak (ca. January 2024), Mikey practices his so-called brand of law in Trenton, New Jersey.
