Former Judge Howard Aison of Northville, NY; ethical leprechaun

Unfortunately, the state of New York presented Howard M. Aiston with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from the Brooklyn School of Law.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme Court found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

The New York Judicial Commission found Howie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was employed as a part-time Amsterdam City Court judge.

  • While on the bench, Howie arranged to have charges against his client filed in a court which did not have jurisdiction in order to circumvent the prohibition against practicing law in his own court
  • Failed to disqualify himself in a case notwithstanding that he had previously represented the complaining witness
  • Held the defendant in summary contempt without complying with proper procedures (aka, due process)
  • Represented defendants in three cases that had originated in his own court
  • Exhibited insensitivity and inattention to his ethical responsibilities

And lastly, it appears that Howie is of the opinion that “due process” is the means by which the grass becomes moist in the am.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits on the Judicial Commission punished Howie by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. November 2023), Howie practices his so-called brand of law at 104 Lincoln Avenue in Northville, New York.
