Attorney George Allen of Los Angeles; ethical troll
The state of Colorado provided George M. Allen with a law license in 1967 after he graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law.
The Colorado State Bar found George guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.
-
Represented a client when he knew it would conflict with the interests of another client
-
Failed to correct a false statement of material fact previously made to a tribunal
-
Acted as an advocate at a trial in which he was likely to be a necessary witness
-
Failed to provide his clients with a written fee agreement when he started the representation
-
During the litigation, George’s clients developed conflicting interests, but he did not obtain their written informed consent to continue the representation
-
Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
-
Improperly provided a client financial assistance while her cases were ongoing
-
Trial court dismissed action and sanctioned Geroge after finding that the claims he had asserted were frivolous and vexatious
-
Trial court disqualified George from representing his client because he was likely to be a necessary witness
-
Failed to inform a client in writing about the lawyer’s fees and expenses within a reasonable time after being retained
-
Pursued and/or asserted frivolous claims
As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished George by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. August 2023), George practices his so-called brand of law the Law Offices of George M. Allen at 5765 West 6th Street in Los Angeles, California.
