Attorney Miriam Weinstein of Lakewood, NJ; ethical goblin

The state of New Jersey presented Miriam B. Weinstein with a law license in 2001 after she graduated from Rutgers University School of Law.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Miriam guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation
• Engaged in negligent misappropriation (theft) of client funds
• Failed to notify clients or third parties of receipts of funds in which they have an interest
• Failed to promptly disburse funds belonging to clients and/or third parties
• Failed to comply with recordkeeping rules

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Miriam by gifting her with a complimentary censure.  

As we speak (ca. August 2023), Miriam practices her so-called brand of law at 126 Autumn Road in Lakewood, New Jersey.
