Attorney Stephen Wigginton of Belleville, IL; serial drunken convict

The state of Illinois presented Stephen Ray Wigginton with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law.

The Disciplinary Commission found Stevie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Between 2017 and 2019 Stevie was arrested three times for driving under the influence (DUI) in Madison County
  • In the first case, Stevie pled guilty to DUI and received court supervision
  • In the second and third cases were resolved as part of a plea agreement in which he pled guilty to the second DUI charge and was sentenced to 24 months' probation, 160 hours of community service, and a $2,800 fine in return for the dismissal of the third case

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

And lastly, because Attorney Misfits in Illinois are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Cass we never criminally charged with perjury.

As we speak (ca. August 2023), Stevie practices his so-called brand of law at 3201 West Main Street in Belleville, Illinois.
