Former Justice Nathan Coats of Denver, CO; moronic slacker

The state of Colorado presented Nathan B. Coats with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law.

FYI: Former Gov. Bill Owens was duped into appointing Nate as a Justice of the Colorado Supreme Court in April 2000. Nate didn’t get the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney or jurist in Colorado. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable hack for the local politicians.

It should be noted that Nate had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for forty-four (44) years. Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the great Denver area was about to offer him a good paying job.

The Judicial Disciplinary Commission found Nate guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to perform judicial duties competently (moron)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Nate by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. July 2022), it is rumored that Nate has an application pending for a job as bathroom attendant at the Pleasures Adult Entertainment Store at 3309 East Colfax Avenue in Denver, Colorado.
