Attorney Charlene Day of Baton Rouge, LA; ethical elf

The state of Louisiana presented Charlene Day with a law license in 19994 after she graduated from Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Law.

The Judiciary Commission of Louisiana found Charlene guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Violated the law when she issued a bench warrant that resulted in a teacher being arrested at the school where she works
  • Harmed the integrity of and respect for the judiciary
  • Abused her immense power to deprive a person of their liberty (aka, due process)
  • Engaged in willful misconduct when she locked up litigants for contempt of court

Apparently, Charlene is of the opinion that “due process” is how the grass becomes moist in the a.m.

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Surpeme Court punished Charlene by gifting her with a complimentary suspension from the bench for 180-days without pay, and fined $6,260.00.

As we speak (ca. June 2023), Charlene continues to dispense her so-called idea of jurisprudence as an East Baton Rouge Parish Family Court Judge in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
