Judge Melissa Boyd of Memphis, TN; ethical troll

The State of Tennessee provided Judge Boyd with a law license in after she graduated from the University of Louisville School of Law.

The Board of Judicial Conduct found Melissa guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Improperly solicited resources and cash donations on Facebook to benefit a school
  • In Facebook posts, Melissa improperly showed herself wearing a judicial robe
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Melissa!)
  • Improperly lent prestige of judicial office to advance private interests of other by soliciting money on social media

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Board of Judicial Conduct punished Melissa by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2023), Melissa continues to dispense her so-called idea of jurisprudence as a Shelby County Criminal Court Judge in Memphis, Tennessee.
