Attorney Kathleen Dolan of Rockville, MD; ethical troll

The state of Maryland presented Kathleen A. Dolan with a law license in 1991 after she graduated from Catholic University School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Kathy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to cooperate with law practice monitor (Screw you, said Kathy!)
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Settled case involving more than 100 clients and failed to inform the clients of said settlement
• Kathy paid herself two-thirds of settlement funds without clients knowledge or consent
• Acted negligently representing her clients
• Misappropriated (stole) client funds
• Mishandled trust account
• Failed to comply with client information requests
• Failed to promptly inform client of any decision or circumstance with respect to which the client’s informed consent was necessary

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme Court punished Kathy by gifting her with a complimentary 9-month suspension of her law license. 

As we speak (ca. February 2023), Kathy practices her so-called brand of law at 200 Monroe Street in Rockville, Maryland.
