Judge Randall Bocock of Ontario, CAN; ethical goblin

The Law Society of Canada provided Randall Bocock with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from the University of Ottawa School of Law

The Canadian Judicial Council found Randy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in an apparent conflict of interest
  • At an international tax conference in Madrid, CBC cameras captured Randy attending an evening soiree on a rooftop terrace sponsored by a law firm linked to KPMG
  • Randy is the case management judge in a KPMG-related file involving a tax dodge the accounting firm set up in the Isle of Man
  • The Canada Revenue Agency alleges in court documents that scheme is a "sham" that "intended to deceive" the federal treasury
  • The law firm hosting the Madrid party, Dentons, is named in those court documents as allegedly signing off on the KPMG tax dodge before it was sold to wealthy Canadians

As a direct result of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Review Panel decided not to take any action of any kind against Randy.

As we speak (ca. January 2023), Randy continues to dispense his so-called idea of jurisprudence as a Judge of the Tax Court of Canada in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
